The hardest part of starting a reading group can be making sure everyone can find the book. Salt Lake County Library’s book-club service helps groups reserve multiple available copies, giving Herriman residents a practical starting point for a neighborhood discussion.
The dedicated set collections are held at Millcreek, Sandy and South Jordan, but the library says available copies can be held for pickup at any County Library. Call 801-943-4636 and ask to speak with a librarian at the intended pickup branch about the title and number of copies needed.

Reservations depend on copies being available at the time of the request. The service allows reserving up to one week ahead, with a limit of twenty-five copies and the regular twenty-one-day checkout period. It cannot hold a title months in advance. Confirm arrangements before promising a particular book to the group.
Keep the first meeting simple: a manageable reading period, a comfortable location and a few open questions. Ask which detail surprised people or changed their impression rather than trying to reach one agreed interpretation. Sharing access to the book helps, but leaving room for different responses is what makes the conversation worth returning to.
